We’re a local DI married couple – licensed and insured – providing love for your pet when you can’t be there.

Peter and Asha have lived here on Daniel Island since 2008, and have loved every minute of it.  Peter is an artist (www.PeterNigelEstes.com) and web designer, and Asha is an operating room nurse.

Our “pro dog walking adventure” began when we couldn’t find anyone to watch our pets when we wanted to go on a cruise.  We looked and looked, but the options weren’t what we were looking for.  We ended up having to fly in a family member to walk and care for our dogs.

That’s when we thought, “There is a real need for quality dog walking and in-home pet sitting here on our beautiful island.”  It wasn’t long afterwards that Daniel Island Dog Walking was born.   Above all,  we just love walking dogs here on Daniel Island.

30 Minute Walk

($5 flat fee for 2nd dog)

  • 30 minutes of love and exercise for your pup. (usually about a mile of walking)

Pet Sitting

($15 flat fee for 2nd pet)

We Treat Your Pet Like Our Own.

Peter and Asha have been married for over 20 years, and have had dogs the entire time.  Whether it’s a troubled rescue dog, stubborn, or sweet… we’ve had em all, and we can take loving care of your furry friends.

We Make Sure Your Dogs Are Safe.

Your dog is always attached to our body with a special belt leash.  This insures no escape… even when that unexpected squirrel appears, there’s no chance of a leash slipping out of our hand.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Daniel Island and Shell Ring

What happens if it rains?

If it rains, we still come and walk your dog.  It might be a slightly shorter walk if it’s pouring, but we make up for it with playtime (after they do their business outside.)  We ask that you have a towel handy by the door, so we can clean up/dry your furry friend.

What if I have to cancel?

If you have to cancel a walk, we totally understand.

We ask you to give us a day’s notice (24 hours) If cancellation happens later than 24 hours, you will have to pay for the walk.

Do you take care of cats?

Of course we can take care of your cat for you!

Generally,  clients are looking for cat care while they are out of town.  We handle that situation as a pet sitting service.

We come once a day, feed your cat, give plenty of love and playtime.  We scoop out the litter box, and make sure everything is ok.

The charge for this is only $20.

Mail collection, plant watering, fish feeding, etc are also available at a small additional fee.

Can I call you at the last minute?

Obviously we like to have as much prior notice as possible, but sometimes something pops up.  We understand.

We will do our very best to accommodate you, and fit in a walk at the last minute.

Our schedule is pretty flexible, and we should always be able to get your dog walked.

Who actually walks my dog?

Here at Daniel Island Dog Walking we don’t have any employees.  We are a married couple living here on the island, and we personally walk every dog ourselves.

House Sitting on Daniel Island?

We offer house sitting on Daniel Island! The usual charge is $30, which includes mail collection, newspaper collection, plant watering, fish feeding, etc..
